Where are my changes?

Follow a change from this device to the service and another authorized device.

Begin on the device where you edited

Keep the original device and its local work intact. Confirm which account and note you were using. Before signing out, reinstalling, resetting synchronization or clearing a cache, establish whether that device holds the only copy.

Read the state precisely

Saved on this device means the edit is durable locally. Queued for upload means it has not yet been acknowledged by the service. Service acknowledged means the service accepted it; another device may still be offline. Present but not decryptable means content has arrived without usable decryption material.

Check a cause you can act on

Check connectivity, mobile background suspension, expired authentication, lost permission, device storage, remote capacity and incompatible app versions. Retry or reauthenticate through a path that preserves unsent work. If another device is offline, reconnect it before treating a delay as a lost change.

Escalate with safe context

A useful report includes platform, app build, the visible error category, when a successful sync was last observed and any queue count or age available. Never send note text, filenames, paths, keys or unrestricted logs to prove that a change exists.
